About the client
When the company Director was working on a project or assignment being 100% committed to that client was a priority. As a freelance consultant finding the time to keep on top of the admin side of the business, stay in regular touch with past clients and identify new business opportunities was creating unnecessary stress.
How we helped
We had a flexible arrangement with hours agreed weekly, based on specific requirements, over a period of 6 months. Every Friday during either a conference call or over a cup of coffee we would agree a ‘to do list’ and assign tasks accordingly.
Projects over this period included creating & producing training material and presentations, liaising with the Director’s clients on her behalf, keeping on top of quotations, invoicing, booking hotels and undertaking some telephone research; a project the company would have had to turn down based on commitments at that time.
As a one person business the relationship meant that the Director also benefited not just from having someone else to delegate to but given Kate’s experience and background in the contact centre industry an all-important sounding board for ideas and planned new initiatives.
Where we are now
The company Director decided to retire from the corporate world of training and consultancy, moved back to her hometown in Wales and has since set up her own web design and photography business with her partner.
